English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) National accreditation or College Certificates

Level: Beginners to advanced

Course content:
Our flexible courses are offered at 5 levels from beginners to advanced (Entry 1 to Level 2) We have a full range of English courses for second language speakers living in Britain permanently, refugees and asylum seekers on benefit.

You will cover a range of subjects such as English Language, Computer skills, preparation for further study, preparation for work and training, Citizenship, English for life in the UK and Study Skills.

Course Structure:
The sessions take place in mornings or afternoons, for 1.5 to 16.5 hours a week. There are Saturday classes at Tooting for those people who are working during the week.
Students aged 16-19 years will study a full-time programme at the Wandsworth centre.
There is large group, small group and individual teaching in all classes.
We also offer introductory vocational courses for ESOL students including Introduction to the World of Work at Tooting and Wandsworth, and Introduction to IT or Hairdressing & Beauty at Wandsworth, and World of work, Business English, Childcare and Education, or Health & Social Care at Tooting.

Course resources:
All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Assessment:
Continuous assessment of coursework or exam.

Our courses prepare you for studying lots of other subjects such as Hairdressing, Beauty, Health, Business, IT, Construction, Childcare, Social Care, Computing, Art & Design, Fashion, Floristry and Engineering.

Call the centre where your course is running to book an induction session before you enrol. Your induction session will determine which level you start at.
