You must have passed a Level 1 course such as CLAIT or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of skills You may need to sit an entry test before joining this course You'll need to have a minimum of ESOL Entry Level 3 English.

This course is for you if:
You wish to gain the internationally recognised IT qualification.
You have a good understanding of computer software and you can already use Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database and E-mail programmes.
The course is open to everyone who has successfully completed a level 1 course such as CLAIT or its equivalent and wants a broader European-wide, industry-recognised qualification. The ECDL consists of eight modules, which lead to the qualification.
The course is divided into 2 parts:

The course runs for 21 weeks and will cover ECDL Part 1 (6 weeks) and ECDL Part 2 (15 weeks)

Fee Information: The College charges a range of fees, primarily Home and Overseas. Under 19s assessed as Home, do not pay the course fees, we only charge a 20 enrolment fee which is refunded if you complete the course. Home students over 19 undertaking their First Full Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSE A-C) or their First Full Level 3 (equivalent to BTEC National or 2 ALevels) will be charged 20 enrolment fee plus any examination fees. For Home students over 19 receiving certain state benefits, the 20 enrolment is charged and not refundable. In all other instances, you will be charged the Home-EU or Overseas Fee.

Assessment:
Each of the 8 units has a 45 minute test to check accuracy and skills. Units 1 and 8 are assessed by a multiple choice test - the others are tested with an online skills test.
After the course:

- Level 1 Certificate in PC Maintenance
- Level 2 iPro (including A+) once Level 1 completed
