Course content:
This course is for people who want to learn more about choosing and preparing flowers for use in displays, table arrangements and wreaths.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
1. choose fresh flowers and mix them effectively in a display.
2. use basic equipment correctly.
3. Use equipment safely and understand health and safety requirements.
4. arrange a display for a special occasion
5. use wiring techniques, hand-tying methods and basic shapes.
Course Structure:
A practical course involving demonstrations and practical work. Some mini-presentations by the tutor with note-taking or handouts.
Course resources:
Basic equipment and some materials will be provided. Please bring a pen, notebook and file.
Assessment:
Teacher feedback. Individual Student progress Records. Student and peer self-assessment

Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
