About this course
Please note all students wishing to take this course need to be 19 years or older at the time of enrolment Written communication and maths assessment followed by a personal interview. The ESOL course is designed for students for whom English is their second language.

Course content:
This is a one year preparatory course for adults who do not have a level 2 qualification and wish to study at this level to improve their basic skills as preparation for entry to level3 or equivalent courses.
The course syllabus includes: English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Study Skills, Information Technology, and English.
Course Structure:
The course is delivered over one year. Chemistry and Physics are delivered over one semester ( 18 weeks per unit)

All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.
Assessment:
All units are assessed and graded and an overall for the qualification is awarded
Next step:
Depending on a successful achievement at level 2 and successful interview, ACCESS to Nursing, Midwifery, or Complementary Medicine and Application of Science.

The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
Approximately £50.00 for appropriate core texts. In addition students will need to provide folders and writing paper.
