Is this course right for me?

This NVQ is a work-based qualification with flexible start dates. To undertake this NVQ you must be working in a supervisory role. The average duration on programme is 12 months.

What will I be learning?

5 mandatory units and 3 optional units relevant to your job role. Subjects covered include health the safety, supervising work, care of resources, managing yourself, supervising drink service, supervising accommodation and supervising reception.

How will I learn?

Assessment in the workplace and theory training and written tests to support underpinning knowledge.

Your assessor will complete a skill scan with you to confirm this NVQ is suited to your job role.

What else might I want to know?

This NVQ is fully funded if you work for a small business (less than 250 staff) or are volunteering to develop relevant skills and meet the Train to Gain criteria.

What can I do afterwards?

Upon achievement you will be awarded an NVQ Level 3 certified by the Hospitality Awarding Body.
You can progress to the Foundation Degree in Hospitality and Tourism or selected Higher Education modules.
