Course Description:
The Certificate is an 18 week course, intended for people who are responsible for leading a team which provides services or produces goods. It is equally valuable for people who want to develop towards a future role as a team leader.
The Certificate is awarded by the Institute of Leadership & Management.

Assessment and Progression:
Studentss progress on the course is monitored by the regular submission of workbased assignments and 'reflective reviews' which enable them to demonstrate their understanding of each unit of study. In addition, students complete a Mini-Project, and give a short presentation/oral briefing to the rest of their study group.
Progression
Successful completion of the full certificate will give students access to a Level 3 qualification such as the ILM Certificate in First Line Management or the Chartered Management Institute's (CMI) Certificate in First Line Management.
Duration:
Students attend a total of 6 group sessions at the College. In addition, they are provided with study packs to work through in their own time, with various activities to complete, and they will have email/telephone contact with tutors at the College.
Group sessions will last between 2-3 hours, depending on the group size.
