This concise qualification consists of two mandatory units, which cover the core research analysis and group-working skills essential to practicing or potential middle managers.
· understanding the management role - examines organisational structures and functions, the roles and responsibilities of middle managers and the effect of communication and interpersonal skills on managerial performance.
· developing management skills - concentrates on developing skills in information gathering and analysis, plus reviewing research together with essential group discussion and evaluation skills.
Assessment is by means of a work-based assignment.
