Course content:
A course for those wishing to pursue a career in the beauty industry specialising in nail treatments
On the course you will build a portfolio of work which will be submitted at the end of the course in order to receive your certificates. The course will be a mixture of practical sessions and theory based subjects. You will learn how to perform a full Manicure & Pedicure treatment and the theory will teach you all there is to know about the anatomy of the hands and feet, health and safety and client care. You will be required to bring models to your practical session to be assessed on.
On application an interview will be held where a written assessment will be provided to assess your suitability to the course we offer.

Course Structure:
Delivery of the subject 3 hours per week.
You will need to have a minimum of 80% attendance in order to receive a certificate.

Course resources:
Excellent salon training environment; the latest products in the market are used at the college. All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Assessment:
Thorough assessment of knowledge and practical tasks.

Next step:
You will be qualified to work as manicurist or could progress onto a Nail technician course. You will have a lifetime registration with VTCT and so will be able to be fast tracked onto any of our other VTCT courses. NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy
