Part-Time NPTC ENTRY LEVEL CERTIFICATE IN SKILLS FOR WORKING LIFE (HORTICULTURE)

The course is designed for those students who have a learning dificulty and is aimed at developing a wide range of work related, personal and interpersonal skills. Through its practical content you will gain a basic understanding of horticulture and its supporting industries, and have the opportunity to build confidence, motivation and greater self esteem through progression and achievement.

As part of the course students will also receive tuition in literacy and numeracy, developing the skills they will need to move on to further learning.

Entry Requirements

Students should be at Entry Level 2.

Those students offered a place must demonstrate a willingness to learn, and a desire to progress onto vocational level 1 courses or directly into employment.

Portfolio of evidence and task based controlled assessment.

Progression Routes
Successful students can progress into further learning or explore employment opportunities within the industry.

Specialist Equipment Needed
Steel toe capped boots, waterproof clothing and Hadlow College jumper and t-shirt.
