2. Course description This course is packed full of practical projects involving solo work, performing in small groups and on major productions. There is also regular theoretical input to help you tease out your talents in acting or dance.  The course provides skills in acting, dancing and singing and is designed to teach you about the theatre and performing business, acting and voice work, performance and presentation and dance genres.  This course consists of the following:       Performance work (productions, etc)      Jazz      Contemporary dance      Choreography      Acting      Voice      Business      Acting skills      Understanding drama   You'll enjoy trips to theatre shows and galleries and learn about the many areas that make up the performing arts industry.  ? Students will need to have a flexible approach and be able to participate in group work.

Entry requirements Students must have ONE of the following:       4 GCSEs (3 at grades A*-D and 1 at grade A*-E), including English & Maths      Level 1 Creative & Media Foundation Diploma or Level 1 in Performing Arts at merit, plus GCSE English & Maths (1 at grade A*-D and 1 at grade A*-E)     Equivalent qualifications - Functional Skills may be accepted in place of GCSE Maths and/or English  An audition involving group exercises is required.  Adults 19+ who have industry experience but do not have the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method You'll be assessed on practical tasks, projects and productions, supported by a record of written evidence.
