Photography for Improvers

Course Aims:
Developing and printing black and white photographs

Course Content:
Camera use and controls, dark room skills developing and printing, composition, historical reference, building on knowledge and skills acquired in a photography for beginners or similar course.

Progression:
There are a variety of part-time and full-time Level 3 courses offered within the College.

Awarding Body:
NCFE

Exam:
Assessment is informal and ongoing. Students will produce a portfolio of work showing completion/evidence of three mandatory units which are assessed by the tutor and verified by an external NCFE moderator. As an integral part of the course all students will be expected to complete a workbook evidencing competence in the assessment criteria.

Qualification:
NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Creative Crafts (Photography)

Duration:
60 Guided Learning Hours (Typically over 20-30 weeks per year)
