Your Course
The course will focus on the use of 35mm SLR camera; developing your photographic skills both technically and creatively using black and white film which you will have the opportunity to develop and make photographic prints from. Students will require access to their own 35mm SLR. This is a practical course with a strong emphasis on darkroom work, with projects to be shot in your own time. You will be given the opportunity to experiment with different processes and techniques and encouraged to join group discussions and critiques.
Learning Outcomes
During the course you will have been given the opportunity to:
· Develop your skills to be able to confidently use your SLR camera.
· Develop your darkroom skills producing high quality images in black and white.
· Gain a good knowledge of different darkroom techniques.
Your Tutor
Alexandra Murphy has a BFA and MFA degree and has been teaching photography for 11 years. She is a practising photographer , having freelanced for magazines and exhibited her work both here in the UK as well as in Germany and South Africa. Alex is currently studying part-time towards an MA degree in Digital Practices at the Norwich School of Art & Design. She also lectures part-time in photography at Huntingdonshire Regional College.

Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.
