What is this course about?
Photoshop, is a graphics editing program. It is the current and primary market leader for commercial bitmap and image manipulation.

Who is this course for?
For people interested in Graphic Design, Illustration or Web design or generally for people working in a wide range of creative areas.

What do I need to get on the course?
Previous computing experience to at least Level 1

What will I study?
Re-touch, and optimise images for print or the web. Work effectively and flexibly with layers in the production of montage and image manipulation. Use filters and layer effects both as tools and effects. An overview of filters and their uses. Export from Photoshop using the most appropriate file format for the job in hand.

What qualification will I get?
OCR Level 1 in e-image creation. This counts as a Unit towards the OCR Certificate in using ICT.

What can I do after the course?
Go onto a Computer Graphic Design course or study one of the other Adobe products such as Adobe Illusttrator or Flash to use in combination or Web Design, or work in a professional photo studios, fashion photography, photo restoration, or anything to do with digital imaging such as retouching.

How do I get on the course?
Come to the Centre for Lifelong Learning, 28-42 Blackstock Road N4 in term time Wednesdays 10.00-12.00 or 5.00-7.00.

How much does the course cost? Concessionary students pay a £40 annual registration charge which covers any courses where concessions are available.
