Physical Education GCE A Level

Qualification: AS/A2 - 2 year course

Course type: Level 3 (advanced)

Entry requirements:
4 x GCSE B grades

Course assessment:
There is ongoing assessment through class work and home work.
For AS there is one written exam at the end of the year (worth 60%) of AS and continuous assessment in your two practical activities (worth 40%) including Evaluating and planning improvement in Practical.
For A2 there is one written exam at the end of the year (worth 70%), of A2 and continuous assessment in your two practical activities (worth 30%) of A2 including Evaluating and planning improvement in Practical.

Leisure Studies is a commonly combined subject, as is Biology because of the physiological element. Otherwise, students choose a wide variety of subjects to complement and contrast P.E.
