What will I learn?Basic Cutting and bending copper tubes Installing bathrooms, Hot and cold water systems, Lead work and fault diagnosis Functional Skills in English & Maths level 2 and ICT level 1 Employment rights and responsibilities and Personal Learning & Thinking Skills
How will I be assessed?Students will complete assessments/projects using evidence from plumbing installations they have carried out in their place of work
What may it lead to?Progress onto the Advanced Plumbing Apprenticeship Level 3
Entry Requirements4 GCSEs at grades C or D including Maths at C and English at D; Level 1 or better grade in the Functional Skills Diagnostic Test for Number, Communication & ICT; a satisfactory report from school or previous learning institution If you are progressing from a Level 1 course you must have completed all the parts of that course, including Functional Skills at the appropriate level All applicants must be employed within the plumbing industry
