Primary Language Learning for Teachers

<div id="tab2" class="tab grid_8 alpha hide-on-small" style="display: block;"> <div class="courseLinks hide-on-medium-down"> <img src="/media/liverpoolhope/styleassets/cssimages/media,975,en.gif" alt="print Icon" style="width : 24px; height : 24px; "> <span><a href="javascript:window.print()">print this page</a></span> <span class="st_sharethis_custom" st_processed="yes"><a href="#">share this course</a></span> </div> <h2>Aims</h2> <p>This programme specifically aims to develop:</p> <p>• The knowledge, skills and understanding&nbsp;essential to become an effective and&nbsp;confident teaching practitioner of basic&nbsp;Primary French/Spanish language,&nbsp;including development of both linguistic&nbsp;competence and cultural awareness.</p> <p>• The skills to develop innovative ideas&nbsp;and practical strategies for use in the&nbsp;classroom, utilising a variety of resources&nbsp;and methodologies.</p> <p>• An understanding of principles for foreign&nbsp;language learning and how to facilitate&nbsp;this in the classroom.</p> <p>• The opportunity to actively engage with&nbsp;their own professional experiences and&nbsp;practice surrounding primary languages,&nbsp;with opportunities for involvement,&nbsp;discussion and reflection.</p> <p>Upon registration participants will gain&nbsp;access to Liverpool Hope University’s&nbsp;online learning platform, Moodle. Additional&nbsp;resources, learning materials, guidance&nbsp;documents and support will be made&nbsp;available throughout your time on the&nbsp;course.</p> <p>Successful completion of the course will&nbsp;award participants with a Certificate of&nbsp;Attendance.</p> </div>
