Course programme

What will I study?
• Learn how to build working relationships, food safety and security
• Learn how to prepare, process and finish marzipan, chocolate, pastillage and sugar products, hot and cold desserts, pastries and dough products
• Due to the nature of the catering industry, some of this course will take place in the evening in the Wharncliffe Restaurant

What added value will I receive?
You will be one of the first to get your hands on the new training equipment in the newly updated training kitchens. You will also be expected to get relevant work experience during the programme to aid with your development.

What are the entry requirements?
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent
• Or Suitable industrial experience
• A desire to work in patisserie and confectionery
• You will also need excellent communication skills and be required to successfully complete an interview with a course tutor
• Commercial work experience
