Course programme

Psychologists observe and measure behaviour and their therapies are based on scientific study. Psychology has links with many disciplines including biological, computer and forensic science as well as humanities such as sociology, philosophy, anthropology and even literature. It involves the study of theory, empirical evidence and practical applications. You can take this subject with other AS/A Levels or with a vocational BTEC programme.
At the end of Year 1 you will achieve an AS Level in Psychology. At the end of Year 2 you will achieve the full A Level.
In the first year you will sit two papers, each lasts for 90 minutes and accounts for 50% of your marks for the year. In the second year you will sit two papers and, once again, each paper accounts for 50% of your marks for the year.
