The head of railway transport management takes care of all the activities of interaction with traveler customers such as issuing tickets, disseminating press releases and useful information, welcoming, organizing customer assistance activities and working groups. Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane is an Italian public company that operates both in the rail transport sector, in the local public transport sector, and in the freight sector, all managed by investee companies such as Trenitalia or Mercitalia Rail. The group was born in 1905 following the nationalization of numerous Italian railway lines incorporated into the autonomous company of the State Railways and placed under the direction of the ministry of public works, even if in 1945 the company passed under the control of the ministry of transport.
