• Identification of hazards and risks
• Risk ranking
• Heirarchy of controls
• Implementation of controls

On completion the student should be able to:

• Contribute to the risk assessment process in the workplace
• Understand the legal requirements for risk assessment
• Analyse the workplace to identify hazards and risks
• Understand the process for implementing control measures
• Appreciate the requirements for specific risk assessents to be undertaken
