Safeguarding Children & Young People NCFE Level 2

This qualification is suitable to be used alongside other qualifications, as CPD, but not a replacement for NVQ / BTEC / DCE Units.
The qualification has been developed in response to every child matters.
It is a 90 hour course with 3 units.
Assessment is through portfolio of evidence
Entry RequirementsHave a childcare qualification to Level 2 or Level 3 (BTEC/ND/DCE) or the DHC (Unit 1)
Course Content
There are 3 units.
Unit 1; Explore and understand roles in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Unit 2; Understand legislation and policies which safeguard children and young people

Unit 3; Develop personal skills to effectively contribute to the safeguarding of children

How will I be assessed?
You will be expected to produce a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competency.
