Who is this course for?
Students who have completed Singing for Absolute Beginners or who have equivalent experience.

What previous knowledge/experience are required?
Experience of vocal technique and solo singing.

What is the level of the course?
Intermediate

What will the course cover and what can I expect to do by the end of it?
Learning outcomes:

• solo and group singing skills
• good vocal technique
• vocal confidence
• musicanship
• interpretation and improvisation
• repertoire
• basic arranging skills and music theory
• performance skills

What teaching and learning methods will be used on the course?
Group singing exercises - pitch, harmony and rhythmic development.

How will we assess your progress on the course?
Through Individual Learning Plans, observation, reflection, discussion and constant feedback. Through performance.

What type of qualification will passing this course give me?
This course will lead to a Working Men's College Certificate.

What extra study/practice do we expect you to do outside the class?
Students are expected to practice on a weekly basis.

What can I do after completing this course?
Progress to Learning to Play the Blues classes, other performing arts courses, Jam sessions, singers nights and gigs.

Are there any other costs? (e.g. materials, equipment or books I need to buy before or during the course)
Bottle of water, pencil and paper.

Are there any other requirements?
You are required to attend every lesson on time.
