This course is designed to give individuals with an interest in interior design and architecture an opportunity to develop their drawing skills in sketchbook format. Through both studio workshops and location visits, you'll be introduced to key media and processes with which to effectively record spaces and human presence.

About this course
This course aims to build on your confidence when sketching interior spaces through periods of observation and demonstrate the use of a sketchbook for personal communication and visual research. A range of essential drawing media, skills and mark-making techniques will be introduced so that you can begin to develop a personal visual language.
The course is aimed at anyone already studying interior design or architecture who wishes to develop existing skills, and those already with industry experience who wish to refresh and build on prior knowledge. It is advised that you have some basic drawing experience prior to course in order to make best use of workshops and location visits.

- visit some of London’s major galleries and museum spaces and sketch live interior situations through periods of observations
- begin to use sketch drawing media and techniques effectively to document the importance of light, form, texture in defining spatial qualities
- develop your confidence in the use of drawing as a means to explore and express a personal visual language
- foster the keeping of a sketchbook as good practice
