About the course
This level is for students with no or very little previous experience of Soft Furnishings. This course will include a variety of Techniques e.g.: basic sewing machine use, hand sewing, piping, seams, different types of fastenings, gathers, box pleats, mitres, measuring, calculating and cutting fabrics. In addition students will use a selection of techniques learned to produce a cushion cover and a sample curtain.
You will need to provide all your own fabrics, and will need a basic sewing kit of tape measure, scissors, thread, pins, needles.
