Gain hands-on experience of organising medical records, practise summarising notes and learn associated abbreviations. Suitable for any staff managing medical records systems. For staff responsible for. undertaking the organising, sorting and summarising of medical records and also for those for whom this may become part of their role. (This course does not cover any issues in relation to inputting into the computer or Read codes).

A Systematic Approach to Summarising Medical Records
This course will allow delegates to:
- Gain hands-on experience of organising medical records
- Discuss material that could be pruned (ultimately with their GP and Practice Manager's permission)
- Practise summarising notes and learn associated abbreviations
- Appreciate legal implications of dealing with patients and medical records
All delegates will benefit from MST's hands-on approach to learning. The practical lessons will be discussed in the light of each delegate's own practice protocol. Delegates will be provided with a course manual and a certificate upon completion of the course.
This course has been accredited by The OCN Credit 4 Learning and delegates can obtain credits for further learning.
