Team Leading NVQ Level 2 (ILM

The level 2 NVQ in Team Leading is for you if you are a team leader who has some degree of responsibility, collaborates with others through membership of a team and whose work involves applying knowledge & skills in a range of varied work activities
Entry RequirementsNo prior qualifications are necessary. However, you must be in a team leader role that provides opportunities for gathering appropriate evidence to match against the standards.
Course Content
To achieve the Team Leader NVQ you will be expected to provide evidence of competence against 6 units -
4 mandatory and 2 optional.
Mandatory units are:·A1 Manage your own resources·B5 Provide leadership for your team·D1 Develop productive working relationships with colleagues·E5 Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health & safety

plus 2 other units chosen when you commence the programme.
How will I be assessed?
You will be allocated an assessor who will regularly plan reviews with you at your workplace.
The assessor will interpret the standards for you and guide you into providing the appropriate evidence.
Evidence can be provided through observation, professional discussion, statements, witness testimonials etc.
On completion, you will receive a certificate awarded by ILM -the professional body.
What can I do next?
This award will provide an effective platform to move into ILM's Level 3 First Line Management i.e.Introductory certificate in First Line Management or the Full Certificate in Management.
If your job role expands to include more first line managerial responsibilities, you could continue the NVQ route by choosing the NVQ Level 3 in Management.
