You can just focus on one text specifically whilst the courses which is kind of sad. On the other side you get a really good input and it's kind of a "must" to discuss and improve you're academic skills.

Both have positive and negative aspects. In genereal I have to do more during the semester and hand in more what remains me to High School. It's not a bad method but you need to get used to it.
