Portstewart is a little bit more expensive, but not that much. My advice would be to not take an accomodation in Coleraine (the town is not lively at all at night).

The seminars are obligatory and you can talk about the topic of the lecture in more depth. The lecturers were always ready to help, they never seemed to be annoyed.

I would recommend this place and especially a sports degree from Ulster University. It was a great experience overall thanks a lot for everything.
