If you have experience, knowledge and skill in a particular occupational sector you may like to consider becoming an internal verifier for people working towards National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs). You will be trained to carry out and evaluate internal assessment and quality-assurance systems, support assessors, monitor the quality of assessors' performance and meet external quality.

About this course
You need to have been a qualified assessor for a minimum of one year.
In our experience in order to be successful on this level of course you will need one of the following:
• 60-80 UCAS tariff points - any combination
• a BTEC national award in a related subject
• an NVQ level 3 in a related subject
• equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.

What's it all about?:
If you have experience, knowledge and skill in a particular occupational sector you may like to consider becoming an internal verifier for people working towards National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs). You will be trained to carry out and evaluate internal assessment and quality-assurance systems, support assessors, monitor the quality of assessors' performance and meet external quality assurance requirements. The certificate may increase your chances of finding work in the education sector.
Progression:
The V1 award is one of the units from the full NVQ Level 4 in Training and Development.
Entry Requirements:
You need to have been a qualified assessor for a minimum of one year.

You will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence, demonstrating a range of activities involving supporting and monitoring assessors and carrying out quality assurance of vocational assessment.
