What type of work will I do and what qualifications will I gain?

Although apprenticeships will vary depending on your entry level and your employer, you will gain a range of skills from the varying tasks you complete, these could include:

• Develop the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to work effectively in a retail team
• Set up, label and dismantle displays in a retail environment
• Sell products within a retail environment by understanding the customer's needs
• Understand how sales are confirmed and closed with the customer
• Promote products to customers as part of a promotional campaign
• Establish rapport with customers
• Communicate information to customers
