What I would highlight Wakefield is a fantastic college that shaped me into the person I am today and helped me get a phenomenal diploma without a doubt one of the UK's best colleges and punches well above its weight! The city is small and the campus is located in the centre offering wide range of courses. Always very busy. I enjoyed my course in Beuaty Therapy Studies and I am looking forward to moving forward with my studies. Thanks!

What I would highlight I started doing beauty therapy in 2015, not knowing anything about it. I have gained a level 2 diploma and I intend on progressing on to doing a level 3 in beauty therapy course. Hopefully in the future with the skills I have learnt from the tutors and staff at this college I will be able to work in a salon to gain experience and eventually work for myself. I am also looking to work on cruise ships and with the qualifications I gain from these courses I am able to do so. On this course we were able to get one to one training in certain areas such as waxing, make up and dermalogica training. I really enjoy this course as we have learnt to do a lot of different treatments. The college staff are very helpful and caring and pushed me to succeed with my course. If you're looking to succeed and work hard I would suggest Wakefield College is the place for you.

The development of Maths and English are key elements of any full-time programme of study in College. You will need to attend sessions allocated on your timetable. These are varied and designed to cater for all ability levels. You will receive advice and guidance regarding the correct level for you.

Skills in Maths and English will support your full-time course, assisting you with assignment writing, research, job applications, presentations, managing your own finances and interpretation of data, to mention just a few. They will also help you in the future. Most employers are looking for ability in these areas and the majority of university courses require you to have Maths and English GCSEs at A*-C (or new grade 9-4). This is why the development of Maths and English is so important, whatever your field of study.
