What does the course involve?
NVQs are nationally recognised qualifications that consist of work-based assessments that demonstrate knowledge, skills and competence. They have the advantage that they are more flexible in terms of students' time than conventional qualifications.
What will I study?
Students will need to complete two mandatory units plus seven optional units to complete the qualification.
Mandatory Units Understand customer service to improve service delivery and Know the rules to follow when developing customer service.
Optional Units Choice of 14 optional units across 4 themes: Impression and Image, Delivery, Handling Problems, Development and Improvement. You must complete at least one unit from each theme.

What's the difference between and NVQ and a taught course?
An NVQ is based in the workplace and is designed to collect evidence of workplace practice, skills and exerperience. A taught course is based in a training room revolving around a number of classes and/or classes.
What's the difference between and NVQ and a apprenticeship?
In addition to an NVQ there are three other key elements of an apprenticeship - a technical certificate and key skills (Number and communications).
How does the NVQ operate at Cirencester College Business School?
You will be allocated an individual assessor who check your suitability for the programme and undertake an NVQ induction. You will then meet on a regular basis - normally every 5/6 weeks to ensure that you remain on track.

What's the difference between a level 4 and lower levels such as 2 & 3?
It is expected that you would have reached a high level of expertise, knowledge and skills before you would be allowed to start on a level 4. In any doubt you should look at the requirements of the level 2 & 3 in Customer Service.
