About this course
This course is for students 19 years old and over. You will need to hold the CGLI 2330 Level 2 or equivalent.

Course content:
The course aim to develop skills knowledge and understanding in the key principles and practices of electrical systems, health and safety, electronic, inspection, testing and commissioning techniques, fault diagnosis and rectification. It builds on skills and knowledge attained in Level 2 and the qualification provides the underpinning knowledge requirement for the Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical services.
Course Structure:
The course consists of a mixture of lecturers, practical sessions with students working in small groups and individually.
Course resources:
All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.
Assessment:
To successfully complete this qualification students must pass internal written and practical test/exercises plus an externally set and marked exam.
Next step:
HNC in construction or gain employment in the electrical contracting or maintenance industries.

Fees Info
The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
Students are expected to provide folders, pen, paper, scientific calculator, etc.
