Method of assessment:
The course is assessed throughout the year by written coursework assignments, set written examinations, practical assessments and 2 final practical exams at the end of the year.
Progression opportunities and careers:
Completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery will prepare you for employment within a variety of sectors within the hospitality and catering industry. The opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 diploma.
Entry requirements:
An interest in hospitality and catering. Level 1 in Professional Cookery or industrial experience.

All full time students will undertake a combination of additional qualifications that will enhance their study skills and those skills that will be important in employment.

If candidates are progressing on from Level 1 then no additional costs are needed other than replacement and upgrading of existing equipment and uniform. New candidates need to purchase uniform and equipment from the college supplier at a reduced cost, expected costs are approx 195.00
