This intensive course is ideal for those who have been out of education for a while or who prefer the classroom style of learning. With unlimited tutor access passing this course will be a breeze.

If you already have work experience in a gym or have a qualification that is not nationally recognized, you may be more suited to our Fast Track Fitness Instructor course.
Exercise and Fitness Knowledge level 2 intensive
This is the foundation to all fitness courses and is included in fitness instructor courses, personal trainer courses and exercise to music courses.
Gym Instructing Intensive
This is an intensive module that is included in all intensive fitness instructor and personal trainer courses. All training and assessment is included in the course timeframe.
First Aid
This is a half-day module where successful candidates will receive the EFAW qualification which is valid for 2 years, although an annual refresher is recommended.
Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this course, although we recommend that you have used a gym prior to commencing the course.
Assessment and certification
The award is assessed against the National Standards for Exercise and Fitness. Students will be required to sit a theory paper as well as completing a practical gym assessment. Successful completion will achieve the Lifetime Fitness Instructor Award and entry to REPs at level 2. You will also gain a nationally recognized First Aid qualification.
