Course programme
This qualification has been developed for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked or handled. It is the responsibility of all food handlers to ensure that the food they serve is safe to eat. By law, food handlers must receive adequate supervision, instruction and training in food hygiene for the work they do. The course introduces food safety, discusses what food safety hazards exist and how these can be reduced and gives an insight into food safety legislation.
