What will I learn?

You will learn about: establishing and developing positive working relationships in hospitality; maintaining food safety when storing, preparing and cooking food; preparing and cooking complex dishes

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by practical tests, written work and knowledge tests

What may it lead to?

This course leads onto the Level 3 courses at Canterbury College

Entry Requirements

You should have a Level 1 qualification in Catering or four GCSEs at C (including English and Maths) or an equivalent qualification Entry on the course is subject to an interview and practical trade test

Additional Information & Other Costs

You will need to purchase uniforms, equipment and text books for the start of the course (this will be discussed in more detail at the interview) Work experience is gained in the College restaurants which are open to the public, staff and students
