2. Course description You or your employer will choose from a selection of modules to help you build enough credits for your Advanced Apprenticeship. There are two mandatory units which cover "Personal Effectiveness and Professionalism" and "Health and Safety in ITC". You will then design the rest of your programme by choosing units suitable for your job role. Developing the key skills of English and Maths is crucial to your success on this programme and in your future career. Your skill levels will be assessed during the first two weeks of your programme and you will be assigned classes or workshops to help you develop these skills at the required level. Attendances at these classes is compulsory.

Course programme

3. Entry requirements Five GCSEs at Grade A*-C including English and either Mathematics or a Science or ITC based subject. An Intermediate GNVQ qualification at Merit/Distinction plus a Level 2 Certificate in Numeracy and Literacy; or an Edexcel BTEC First Diploma (Distinction/Merit) in appropriate subjects, Level 2 Key Skills in Number and Communication and a good report. Consideration may be given to mature students or those not having the qualifications above to be admitted to the programme at the discretion of the College. You will need to be employed for a minimum of 16 hours per week in order to undertake an Apprenticeship. 4. Equipment required The Apprenticeship is approximately one year long. Attendance at College will be required for the Key Skills part of the Apprenticeship. 5. Assessment method The programme is assessed through a range of methods including project work, role-play, oral presentations and case studies etc. To be successful it will be necessary for you to undertake a significant amount of private study to meet the demands of the programme.
