Content / Overview:
Art offers a unique way to observe the world, put your own ideas and experiences into action and use a variety of media. For the AS you learn a range of skills and methods, experiment with different approaches and find out about the work of other artists. For A2, your skills and interests will be developed through discussion with your teacher. Assessment is mainly by coursework with some externally set tasks. This subject is enjoyable and challenging and covers a range of learning methods including practical work, educational visits, research and presentations. AS and A2 have impressive records of success, with students gaining good grades. Students' achievements are widely recognised and celebrated through displays around the College. A high proportion of our students' progress onto art-related courses.

Delivery Method:
Learn a range of skills and methods and experiment with different personal approaches in specially designed art and design workshops.

Assessment:
Mostly coursework.

Progression:
University or art foundation courses.
