Your Course
Learn a mix of social ballroom and latin classes (Waltz, Quickstep, cha Cha, Jive and more!). This course is ideal for the complete beginner, no previous experience needed. The steps are kept very simple and the emphasis is on fun. Popular with wedding couples, but all ages are welcome.
Why learn to dance? For starters it's a lot of fun! Fun aside, dancing has so much more to offer than just a good time. Exercise, stress relief, self-confidence, social poise and a creative outlet are amongst the many benefits you can receive from dancing.
I've got 2 left feet - is that a problem? The beginners course is about learning the absolute basics of some popular dances. The atmosphere and teaching style in this class is very relaxed - Fred Astaire himself is quoted as saying "some people seem to feel that good dancers are born. All the good dancers I've known have been taught or trained".
Learning Outcomes
You will have fun learning the basics of Social Foxtrot, Waltz, Quickstep, and English Tango. You will also learn the fundamental steps to some of the International Latin dances: Cuban Rumba and Cha Cha Cha in the English style (quite distinct from Cuban style), and perhaps Jive. Not everyone learns at the same pace, but everyone should master the basics. The fun is compulsory.
