About this course
Our 5 day Beginners Course will give you the skills and confidence in the kitchen to expand your culinary repertoire and try new dishes with confidence. You will leave with a wide ranging portfolio of versatile dishes and essential cooking skills.
This course is specifically run with a more mature audience in mind. If you want to attend a course with like minded people this is the one for you, learning in a safe and mature atmosphere
There are no pre-course requirements should you wish to attend this course.
There is no qualification with this course but we give a certificate of attendance
All our Lifestyle Cookery Courses are taught by the same team of qualified chef tutors who teach our professional Cordon Bleu Diploma students.
Information will be forwarded to you together with an enrolment form. Once the form is completed it needs to be returned to Tante Marie together with the required deposit. The application will be processed and a letter of confirmation will be sent. It's as easy as that.

Course Content
1 and 2 Week Courses
Beginners cookery skills course: Week 1
- No idea where to start in the kitchen?
- How about an introduction to cooking.
Beginners cookery skills course: Week 2
Follows directly on from week 1.
- Build on basic skills with new techniques and ideas!
- Both weeks may be taken!
General Information
- Different menus each week.
- Integrated demonstrations and classes.
- Cook a three course meal in the morning.
- Make cakes, breads and canapes in the afternoon, to take home.
- Day begins at 9.30 am and finish at 4.00 pm.
- The first week of this course leads directly on to the second.
- Basic skills and recipes taught in the first week.
- More advanced recipes in the second.
