Balance body strength and flexibility by drawing on techniques from both yoga and pilates. This course provides an introduction to improving standing posture, balance, flexibility, core strength and relaxation. These factors combine to help you feel good and avoid injury by enabling the body and mind to function more harmoniously.

About this course
- Improve posture and body awareness- Use props/small equipment to aid performance- Practise a simple breathing exercise to aid relaxation- Choose an appropriate level at which to work- Demonstrate three exercises to improve flexibility and mobility- Perform a strengthening exercise using the correct breathing.

Students need suitable clothing to move in (loose and comfortable) and should wear trainers. Please bring water, and avoid eating one and a half hours prior to exercising.
Additional information
Students might choose to build on knowledge gained by progressing to other gentle exercise classes or to a beginner’s course in pilates or yoga.
