Business Studies*
Moodle facilities are available for self-supported study and research work. The department also has a range of revision packages on the network covering finance, accounting, marketing and operations management.
Students are strongly encouraged to develop keyboarding and word processing skills to support Business Studies. Students should take full advantage of the college's IT enrichment courses.

Students have access to the Internet and E-Mail for research and communication purposes, along with the Intranet of internal information sources.

Careers leading from Business Studies
As many Higher Education courses relate to the business world it is no surprise that A-level Business Studies students continue to take business related courses at University.

Many students simply take a Business Studies degree course before they specialise or apply for work through the many graduate recruitment schemes offered by large companies.

Students can however specialise into their chosen field such as Marketing or Accounting by doing a specific course at University. The A-level course at Greenhead helps with this type of decision.

It should be noted also that 36% of students are using A-level Business Studies as a stepping stone into another field, perhaps onto a totally unrelated course like Pharmacy. These students have chosen A-level Business Studies because it provides an interesting and alternative A-level to study in addition to their science based choices.

Many students will be aiming for exciting jobs in some of the major blue chip companies in the UK once they have completed their Higher Education studies.
