Course programme

Part of the Apprenticeship framework is the NVQ qualification which shows your competence, knowledge and understanding of business tasks and procedures, and proves you are able to carry out your job to the required standards. You will also complete a Level 2 Award in Hospitality and Catering Principles Technical Certificate as part of your course. Whilst at work, your Training Officer will visit you and carry out assessments in a variety of styles to help build your portfolio of evidence for the NVQ. The Apprenticeship covers Units that are selected in consultation with you and your employer. The following are examples of Units you could study: Introduction to Food Safety & Hygiene Giving Customers a Positive Impression Prepare & Clear Table Areas Serve Food at the Table Prepare & Clear Bar Area Service of Alcoholic & Non-alcoholic Drinks Prepare & Serve Wine You will be required to study a technical qualification at Bradford College. The duration of the Apprenticeship will be 12-18 months.
