This course aims to consolidate your knowledge and application of a strong, healthy vocal technique and to provide a bridge between the more technically oriented classes ('Basic technique for solo singing' and 'Develop your singing') and the forthcoming workshops (Intermediate level and above).
In module 1 you will gain experience of choosing and working on a song independently, with tutor assistance.

About this course
- Perform studied songs from memory, musically and accurately
- Apply knowledge of suitable repertoire to your song choices.
- Demonstrate a growing knowledge of what is required in order to sing and perform successfully.
- Understand the value of critical evaluation in vocal and performance technique.
A note book and pencil for taking notes, sheet music as required and a course book as advised. You are encouraged to acquire copies of music to be studied during the year. Music may be purchased new or second-hand and/or available from local libraries. Westminster Central Music Library (Victoria) and the Barbican Music Library have very comprehensive collections.
