The Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Cultural Heritage (and associated pathways). Have been approved as components for the Cultural Heritage Advanced. Apprenticeship. Starts to suit individual/organisation. Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Cultural Heritage is a nationally recognised qualification that demonstrates competence in the sector. It is work based and therefore has been achieved by directly demonstrating performance in the work environment! This qualification is for those working in cultural heritage and is based on the day-to-day demands of working in the culture and heritage sector. Learners are able to choose from a wide range of pathways and optional units to reflect the work that they are involved in within their organisation. Suitable for: Suitable for those who are working in a cultural heritage setting and are capable of reaching the standards required. This can be taken as a stand alone qualification or as part of an Advanced Apprenticeship and can be taken without possession of a level 2 if suitable and RPL carried out, also a recommended progression from Level 2 as part of a career development pathway. Starts to suit the individual and/or organisation.

To achieve an Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Cultural Heritage (QCF) learners
must complete 60 credits in total. 18 credits must be completed from
Group A Mandatory units and a minimum of 42 credits from Group B
Optional units.
Optional units inc:
- Design exhibitions/displays for cultural heritage
- Manage the security in a cultural heritage
- Plan and deliver learning or interpretation activities in a creative or cultural context
- Build cultural heritage exhibitions and displays
- Supervise and support the work of others in creative and cultural contexts
