About this course

This qualification is available to learners aged 19 and over on 31 August.



Learners need to be working at entry level 3 or above for literacy skills. We welcome learners who can demonstrate relevant understanding of spoken and written English.

Learners in receipt of JSA / ESA / income Support or Universal Credit can asked to be referred by their JCP Work Coach for this programme.

Year 1

This certificate in customer service is made up of the following units. This qualification is portfolio- based and has no end examinations. Units include:

• Customer Service Principles
• Understanding How to Work in a Customer Service Role
• Communicating with Customers
• Career Progression
• Investigating Rights and Responsibilities at Work
• Using a CV and Covering Letter to Apply for a job.

Study will be covered via taught classes.

Additional information

This qualification is tutor-assessed via submission of a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Customer service. Following tutor assessment work will go through internal and external quality assurance process before certificates can be applied for.
