This combined knowledge and competency based qualification is ideal for those in a customer services role such as: Customer Service Advisor, Customer Service Operator, Call Centre Advisor, Help Desk Operative and Service Agent. It provides learners with the opportunity to learn and implement the core skills needed in a customer services role. The qualification forms part of the Level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service.

What you need to know
How will I study?

Learners will develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector-related knowledge, including; the principles and practices of delivering customer service and understanding the different types of customers, their needs, wants and expectations, equality and diversity, organisational structure and environment, and legislation and regulations that govern the industry. Learners will also develop and demonstrate a range of technical skills and behaviours that supports competence in the customer services role. This includes communicating with customers using appropriate communication channels, resolving customer problems and complaints, building relationships with customers, promoting additional products and/or services and the ability to improve own learning and performance.
How will I be taught?

A blended learning course mixing work-based assessment supported by online resources. You will have a designated assessor team and subject specialists to help guide you through your apprenticeship.
How will I be assessed?

Mainly portfolio-based assessment with the option to take exams for some knowledge based units.
