Basic ESOL Course for people whose first language is not English.

None

What is the level of the course?
Pre-entry to Level 2

What will the course cover and what can I expect to do by the end of it?
Speaking and Listening : Listen to information about the use of computers, feedback this information, answer questions about computer use, describe computer parts, and describe how to turn a computer on and off. Reading and Writing : Read and complete forms. read and co

What teaching and learning methods will be used on the course?
Small groups. Maximum 12. Group, pair and individual work. Materials and worksheets provided. Access to computers.

How will we assess your progress on the course?
Individual learning plans and tutorials with your teacher.

What type of qualification will passing this course give me?
Work towards a nationally recognised Cambridge ESOL or City and Guilds exam focusing on different skills each term.

What extra study/practice do we expect you to do outside the class?
Independent learning will be in the form of homework recorded on your language diary sheets.

What can I do after completing this course?
Progress onto the next level of ESOL, join the Working Men's College, find a job.
