Course Description:

Our new Level 2 BTEC First Diploma Units are designed to broadly introduce fashion and textiles whilst our new Level 3 BTEC National Units will allow more in-depth development of skills in your chosen specific areas. At a higher level, our new Foundation degree in Fashion and Textiles will offer a solid and real-life focused course of study, setting you firmly on the path to success (provisionally scheduled for April 10, please see website). In all courses students will have the opportunity to learn about working to a range of creative fashion and textile briefs and explore a variety of techniques, ranging from printed and constructed fabric design through to garment construction. Emphasis will be on a balance of creativity, technical ability and the business skills needed to succeed in this exciting and rewarding field of work.
